RINGS

Cleaning Rings: Spray Razzle Dazzle^® liberally on to your ring. Next, use the Razzle Dazzle^® Brush to clean around and underneath the stones (this is where the light is refracted from). Make sure to get inside all the grooves and around the band. Rinse with water and buff dry with a cotton paper towel (we recommend Bounty or Viva). Enjoy!

The Spa Treatment: For a deeper clean, place your rings in our Essential Jewelry Deep Cleaning Bath once a month for 5 to 10 minutes. Next, use the Razzle Dazzle^® Brush to clean around and underneath the stones. Again, make sure to get inside all the grooves and around the band. Rinse with water and buff dry with a cotton paper towel (we recommend Bounty or Viva). Enjoy!

WATCHES

Cleaning Watches: First, read the markings on the back of the watch to ensure your watch is water resistant. If so, lay your watch flat on a paper towel. Liberally spray Razzle Dazzle^® on to the front and back side of the watch. In many cases, you will instantly see dirt and grime drip from the watch. Use the Razzle Dazzle^® Brush to clean in between the links and grooves. Rinse with water and buff dry with a cotton paper towel (we recommend Bounty or Viva). This process may need to be repeated two or three times until all dirt is cleaned away. We recommend cleaning watches once a month to maintain a brilliant shine.

Special Note: If watches are not marked water resistant, simply cover the face of the watch with a paper towel and spray the right and left side of the watch band. Use the Razzle Dazzle^® Brush to clean in between the links and grooves. Rinse with water and buff dry with a cotton paper towel (we recommend Bounty or Viva). Enjoy!

BRACELETS

Cleaning Bracelets: Spray Razzle Dazzle^® liberally on the front and backside of the bracelet. Use the Razzle Dazzle^® Brush to gently clean around and underneath any stones, and be sure to brush inside all of the grooves and in between any links. Rinse with water and buff dry with a cotton paper towel (we recommend Bounty or Viva). Enjoy!

EARRINGS

Cleaning Earrings: Spray Razzle Dazzle^® on to your earrings or place them inside the jewelry cleaning bath. Take your fingers and rub them gently, this will remove hairspray, perfumes and make-up. Rinse with water and buff dry with a cotton paper towel (we recommend Bounty or Viva). Enjoy!

Important Note: You may also use the brush if needed for filigree, large chandelier earrings and to clean around and the back side of stones.

NECKLACES

Cleaning Necklaces: Lay the necklace flat and spray Razzle Dazzle^® liberally on the front and the back of the necklace. With a brush, gently brush the surface and back side of the chain. We recommend our 4" brush sold separately or included with our jewelry cleaning bath. If the necklace has a pendant you can leave it on the chain and brush the pendant front and back, rinse with water and buff dry.

ANTIQUE JEWELRY AND VINTAGE JEWELRY

Cleaning Antique Jewelry and Vintage Jewelry: Spray Razzle Dazzle^® liberally on the surface of the jewelry. With a brush, gently brush in between the grooves, crevices, around and underneath stones. We recommend our 4" brush sold separately or included with our jewelry cleaning bath. If pearls were used or if stones are glued on, use your fingers instead of the brush to clean perfume, hairspray, makeup and old residue away from the jewelry, rinse with water and buff dry. Razzle Dazzle^® will also remove verdigris, corrosion associated with vintage jewelry.

DESIGNER JEWELRY AND COSTUME JEWELRY

Cleaning Designer Jewelry and Costume Jewelry: Razzle Dazzle^® is safe to use on all surfaces and metals. Spray Razzle Dazzle^® liberally on the surface of the jewelry. With a brush, gentlygently brush in between the grooves, crevices, around and underneath stones. We recommend our 4" brush sold separately or included with our jewelry cleaning bath. Use your fingers on all stones that are glued on to the jewelry. Rinse with water and buff dry.

PRECIOUS METALS

GOLD & WHITE GOLD

About Gold: Gold jewelry is universally stamped and identified with a number followed by a “k” which stands for karat. 9k, 10k, 12k, 14k, 18k, and 22k gold are commonly used in jewelry. The higher the number, the higher the actual gold content. 24k is pure gold, and like fine silver, is quite soft. Many people consider 14k gold to be the lowest gold content that should be used in fine gold jewelry. Higher karat gold, such as 18k and 22k, tend to have a richer gold color than lower karat alloys. They are also more expensive due to the higher actual gold content. Gold is available in several different colors. The most popular is yellow gold, followed by white gold and rose gold, though other gold colors are available such as bronze gold, red gold and lime gold. As the color difference is due to the metal components in the alloy mix, the color of yellow gold, white gold, rose gold, and lime gold will not chip, fade or wear off with age.

Cleaning Gold: To clean gold, spray Razzle Dazzle^® liberally on to the surface. Next, use the Razzle Dazzle^® Brush to clean inside the grooves and crevices. Rinse with water and buff dry with a cotton towel (we recommend Bounty or Viva). The more you buff with a cotton towel, the more the luster will be revealed. Note: Razzle Dazzle^® is safe to use on all jewelry that has black etching such as class rings. Razzle Dazzle^® will not remove this etching. Enjoy!

Surface Scratches: To remove surface scratches from gold jewelry, especially weddings rings and wedding bands, we recommend using the Razzle Dazzle® Miracle Cloth first. Verify that your jewelry has been stamped or has the gold marking. Next, buff using the Miracle Cloth, then buff with a cotton towel (we recommend Viva or Bounty). Finally, spray Razzle Dazzle® liberally on to the surface, and brush inside all the grooves and crevices. Rinse with water and buff dry with a cotton towel (we recommend Bounty or Viva).

SILVER & STERLING SILVER

About Silver and Sterling Silver: Sterling Silver is a white-grey colored softer metal which is less expensive than gold, platinum and titanium. It is popular for making jewelry, consisting of 92.5% pure silver alloyed with 7.5% other metals. Sterling Silver is universally recognized by a marking or a stamp of 925. Silver is more prone to oxidation, sometimes causing the silver to turn black. Silver jewelry can easily be made to look like new again.
Cleaning Silver: First, if the item you are cleaning is heavily tarnished or oxidized we recommend using the Razzle Dazzle^® Miracle Cloth first. Buff with the Miracle Cloth until the tarnish has disappeared. The Miracle Cloth will become black in color. Note that the cloth continues to work even though it is black and can be used over and over again. Next, buff with a cotton paper towel (we recommend Bounty or Viva). Then spray Razzle Dazzle^® liberally on to the surface to remove any residue. Brush, rinse with water and buff dry with a cotton paper towel.
Important Note: If the item you are cleaning is not severely tarnished, spray Razzle Dazzle^® liberally on to the surface. Next use a brush, we recommend our 4” brush sold separately, also included in our jewelry cleaning bath. This brush is small and effective for cleaning around and underneath stones, and inside the grooves and crevices of the jewelry. Rinse with water and buff dry with a cotton cloth or paper towel. The more you buff with a cotton towel, the more the luster you will have.
Special Note: Of special note to Silver, Razzle Dazzle^® hinders the oxidation process. Razzle Dazzle^® is safe to use on all jewelry that has black etching such as class rings. Razzle Dazzle^® will not remove this etching.

PLATINUM

About Platinum: Platinum is a metal with a silver-grey color. Platinum is extremely long wearing, it is the hardest and the most expensive metal. It has a white silver color and is popular for wedding and engagement rings, and high-end jewelry with precious stones such as diamonds.

Cleaning Platinum: Spray Razzle Dazzle^® liberally on to the surface of the jewelry. Next use a brush, we recommend our 4” brush, included in our jewelry cleaning bath or sold separately. This brush is small enough and effective to clean around and underneath the precious stones and inside the grooves and crevices. Rinse with water and buff dry with cotton paper towel (we recommend Bounty or Viva). The more you buff with the cotton towel, the more the luster will be revealed.

Important Note: Do not use the Miracle Cloth on Platinum jewelry as most Platinum has a Rhodium finish to make it look more shiny. The Miracle Cloth will remove the finish to reveal the metal underneath.

PALLADIUM

About Palladium: Palladium is a white metal which has a silver-grey-white color and is similar to Platinum. Palladium is one of the metals that is part of the platinum group of metals and is used for engagement rings and wedding rings.

Cleaning Palladium: Spray Razzle Dazzle^® liberally on to the surface of the jewelry. Next use a brush, we recommend our 4” brush, included in our jewelry cleaning bath or sold separately. This brush is small enough and effective to clean around and underneath the precious stones and inside the grooves and crevices. Rinse with water and buff dry with cotton paper towel (we recommend Bounty or Viva). The more you buff with the cotton towel, the more the luster will be revealed.

Important Note: Do not use the Miracle Cloth on Palladium jewelry as most Palladium has a Rhodium finish to make it look more shiny. The Miracle Cloth will remove the finish to reveal the metal underneath.

GOLD & SILVER PLATING, OTHER PLATING

About Plating: Many different metals have been electroplated with silver or gold, or other precious metals. Depending on how thick the plating is, it might last a long time, or it might wear off quickly. Unless specified otherwise, the underlying metal is probably some kind of base metal.

Cleaning Plating: Spray Razzle Dazzle^® liberally on to the surface of the jewelry. Next use a brush, we recommend our 4” brush sold separately or included in our jewelry cleaning bath. This brush is effective and small enough to clean around and underneath the stones, and inside the grooves and crevices. Rinse with water and buff dry.

Important Note: Do not use the Razzle Dazzle^® Miracle Cloth on plated jewelry. The Miracle Cloth will remove the plating to reveal the base metal underneath.

GOLD FILLED & VERMEIL

About Gold Filled & Vermail: These two metals are not primarily Gold, but incorporate some Gold and look like Gold. Gold Filled is created by bonding a thin layer of Gold to a Brass core. Vermeil is Gold Plated Sterling Silver. There are significant differences between the two. Gold Filled metal is primarily Brass; the layer of Gold must equal 1/20th of the total weight of the metal. Gold Plated metal, such as Vermeil, on the other hand, can be a microscopic layer of actual Gold, 24K over the Silver.

Cleaning Gold Filled & Vermeil: Spray Razzle Dazzle^® liberally onto the surface of the jewelry. Next, use the Razzle Dazzle^® brush to clean around and underneath the stones (this is where the light is refracted from). Be sure to get inside all the grooves and crevices. Rinse with water and buff dry with a cotton paper towel (we recommend Bounty or Viva).

Special Note: Do not use the Razzle Dazzle^® Miracle Cloth on Gold Filled jewelry or Vermeil. The Miracle Cloth may remove the thin layer of Gold bonded to the Brass or Silver underneath and reveal the metal under the plating.

OTHER METALS

ALUMINUM

About Aluminum: An inexpensive, lightweight and very malleable metal that is silver-white in color, Aluminum is extensively used to create jewelry. Anodizing aluminum is an electro-chemical process that allows the surface of the metal to be dyed.

Cleaning Aluminum: Spray Razzle Dazzle^® liberally onto the surface of the jewelry. Next, use the Razzle Dazzle^® brush to clean around and underneath the stones (this is where the light is refracted from). Make sure to get inside all the grooves and crevices. Rinse with water and buff dry with a cotton paper towel (we recommend Bounty or Viva). Razzle Dazzle is safe to use on aluminum that has been anodized and will not remove the coloring.

BRASS

About Brass: Brass is another non-precious metal that is often used in jewelry designs and house wares. It is sometimes sold shiny, and other times with an oxidized “antique” finish.

Cleaning Brass: First, if the brass item you are cleaning is heavily tarnished or oxidized we recommend using the Razzle Dazzle^® Miracle Cloth first. Buff with the Miracle Cloth until the tarnish has disappeared. The Miracle Cloth will become dark in color, please note that the Miracle Cloth will continue to work even though it is black, over and over again. Next, buff with cotton paper towel (we recommend Bounty or Viva). If the item is intended to look oxidized with an “antique finish” do not use the Miracle Cloth. Simply spray Razzle Dazzle^® liberally on to the surface to remove any residue, brush if needed, rinse with water and buff dry. Razzle Dazzle^® will hinder the oxidation process.

COPPER

About Copper: Copper is used for many jewelry applications and decorative items for the home. Because it oxidizes relatively quickly, it’s a good metal to try with patinas, and is also often enameled on. Some people believe that copper jewelry has health benefits, such as aiding people with arthritis pain, while others wear it for its rich, warm color. If the copper jewelry or decorative items have not been coated with something to prevent oxidation, it will need to be cleaned and/or polished frequently in order to keep it from turning green or black.

Cleaning Copper: First, if the item you are cleaning is heavily tarnished or oxidized we recommend using the Razzle Dazzle^® Miracle Cloth first. Buff with the Miracle Cloth until the tarnish has disappeared. The Miracle Cloth will become dark in color, please note that the cloth continues to work even though it is black over and over again. Next, buff with cotton paper towel (we recommend Bounty or Viva). Then, spray Razzle Dazzle^® liberally on to the surface to remove any residue, brush, rinse with water and buff dry. Razzle Dazzle^® hinders tarnish process.

STAINLESS STEEL

About Stainless Steel: Steel, particularly stainless steel, is becoming popular as a jewelry metal. It is sold in coils for making bracelets, necklaces, and rings, is fun for stringing beads onto because it “remembers” its shape. Very thin steel wire can be used for weaving, knitting, or crocheting wire. Stainless steel is used in many household appliances. It is sometimes sold shiny and other times with an oxidized “antique” finish or a “brushed” finish as for watches.

Cleaning Stainless Steel: Spray Razzle Dazzle^® liberally onto the surface of the item you are cleaning. Use a brush if needed or simple buff the surface with cotton paper towel (we recommend Bounty or Viva).

RHODIUM

About Rhodium: When white gold and platinum rings are new they can be coated with another white metal called Rhodium. Rhodium is a metal very similar to platinum and rhodium shares many of the properties of platinum including its white color. Rhodium plating is used on white gold and platinum to make it look more white, adding shine and luster. The natural color of white gold is actually a light grey color. Rhodium is very white and very hard, but it does wear away eventually. To keep a white gold and platinum rings looking their best they should be re-rhodium plated approximately every 12 to 18 months. Most local jewelers are able to rhodium plate jewelry for a cost effective price.

Cleaning Rhodium: Spray Razzle Dazzle^® liberally on to the surface. Next use a brush, we recommend our 4” brush sold separately or it is also included in our jewelry cleaning bath. This brush is small and effective to clean inside the grooves and crevices. Rinse with water and buff dry. The more you buff with a cotton towel the more the luster you will be revealed.

Important Note: Do not use the Miracle Cloth on jewelry that is coated or plated as it will remove the plating.

TITANIUM

About Titanium: Is a natural element which has a silver-grayish-white color. Titanium is the hardest natural metal in the world. It is very strong, three times the strength of steel and much stronger than gold, silver and platinum more dent, bend and scratch resistant than all three and yet is very light weight. Pure Titanium is also 100% hypo-allergenic which means that it if safe for anyone to wear as it will not react to your skin. Titanium cannot be soldered, which means that titanium rings cannot normally be resized.

Cleaning Titanium: Spray Razzle Dazzle® liberally on to the surface of the jewelry. Next use a brush, we recommend our 4” brush sold separately or it is also included in our jewelry cleaning bath. This brush is small enough and effective to clean around and underneath the precious stones and inside the grooves and crevices. Rinse with water and buff dry.

TUNGSTEN

About Tungsten: Is a metal that has a grey-white color, similar to that of white gold or titanium. Is a very hard, strong and durable metal and has a unique characteristic of being highly scratch resistant. It is also quite heavy. Unlike gold, platinum and even titanium, tungsten rings do not scratch with everyday wear like the other metals do.

Cleaning Tungsten: Spray Razzle Dazzle^® liberally on to the surface of the jewelry. Next use a brush, we recommend our 4” brush, included in our jewelry cleaning bath or sold separately. This brush is small enough and effective to clean around and underneath the precious stones and inside the grooves and crevices. DIAMONDS

About Diamonds: The origin of the word "diamond" means “unbreakable”, and a diamond's hardness and high dispersion of light give each diamond its characteristic “fire.” Diamonds are such a highly traded commodity that a system was created for grading and certifying them based on the four C's, which are Carat, Cut, Color, and Clarity.

Cleaning Diamonds: Spray Razzle Dazzle^® liberally on to the surface of each diamond. Next, use the Razzle Dazzle^® Brush to clean around and underneath each diamond. Clean the setting, brushing inside the grooves and crevices. Rinse with water and buff dry with a cotton towel (we recommend Bounty or Viva). Enjoy!

EMERALDS

About Emeralds: Emeralds, like all colored gemstones, are graded using four basic parameters, the four C's of Connoisseurship which are Color, Cut, Clarity and Crystal. Color is divided into three components: Hue, Saturation and Tone. The last C, Crystal, is simply used as a synonym that begins with C for Transparency. Emeralds tend to have many inclusions or fissures. Most emeralds are oiled with cedar oil or synthetic oils to enhance their color.

Cleaning Emeralds: Spray Razzle Dazzle^® liberally on to the surface of each emerald. Next, use the Razzle Dazzle^® Brush to clean around and underneath each emerald. Clean the setting, brushing inside the grooves and crevices. Rinse with water and buff dry with a cotton towel (we recommend Bounty or Viva). RUBIES

About Rubies: Ruby means “red”. Rubies, like all colored gemstones, are graded using four basic parameters, the four C's of Connoisseurship which are Color, Cut, Clarity and Crystal. Color is divided into three components: Hue, Saturation and Tone. The last C, Crystal, is simply used as a synonym that begins with C for Transparency. Rubies are often heat treated to enhance their color and clarity.

SAPPHIRES

SEMI-PRECIOUS POROUS STONES

PEARLS

About Pearls: Valuable Pearls occur in the wild, but they are very rare. Cultured or farmed Pearls from pearl oysters make up the majority of those that are currently sold. A cultured pearl is one that has been formed with human intervention on a pearl farm. An irritating microscopic object is inserted and becomes trapped within the mollusk's mantle folds. The mantle of the mollusk then deposits layers of ‘nacre’ around the inserted bead. The unique luster of Pearls depends upon the reflection, refraction, and diffraction of light from the translucent layers. The thinner and more numerous the layers in the Pearl, the finer the luster. The iridescence that Pearls display is caused by the overlapping of successive layers, which breaks up light falling on the surface. In addition, Pearls (especially cultured freshwater pearls) can be dyed yellow, green, blue, brown, pink, purple, or black.

Cleaning Pearls: Spray Razzle Dazzle^® onto the pearl, and gently rub the surface with your fingers. Rinse with water and buff dry with a cotton cloth or cotton paper towel (we recommend Bounty or Viva). This simple process will remove any build up of hairspray, perfume and makeup, which dull the pearl. When cleaning a strand of pearls follow the same instructions and lay flat to dry. Laying flat to dry will help tighten the silk cord they are strung on, rather than hanging to dry, which may stretch the silk cord. Enjoy!

OPALS

About Opals: Opals are a mineraloid gel which is deposited at a relatively low temperature and may occur in the fissures of almost any kind of rock. Opals can display every color in the visible spectrum. It is reported in the legends of the aborinigies that the creator came down to Earth on a rainbow, in order to bring the message of peace to all the humans. And at the very spot, where his foot touched the ground, the stones became alive and started sparkling in all the colors of the rainbow. That was the birth of the Opals. Australia produces 97% of the world’s opals. Mexico produces what are known as fire opals.

Cleaning Opals: Spray Razzle Dazzle^® onto the opal, and gently rub the surface with your fingers. Rinse with water and buff dry with a cotton cloth or cotton paper towel (we recommend Bounty or Viva). This simple process will remove any build up of hairspray, perfume and makeup, which dull the opal. Enjoy!

CORAL

About Coral: Coral's many colors give it appeal for jewelry – white, pink, red, black, and more. Intensely red coral is prized as a gemstone. Red coral are sometimes called fire coral, but they are not the same as fire coral. Fire coral are marine organisms that look like real coral, but are not real coral. Red coral is very rare because of overharvesting, due to the great demand for perfect specimens.

Cleaning Coral: Spray Razzle Dazzle^® onto the coral, and gently rub the surface with your fingers. Rinse with water and buff dry with a cotton cloth or cotton paper towel (we recommend Bounty or Viva). This simple process will remove any build up of hairspray, perfume and makeup, which dull the coral. Enjoy!

TURQUOISE

About Turquoise: Turquoise is an opaque, blue-to-green mineral and is one of the oldest gems. In many cultures of the Old and New Worlds, this gemstone has been esteemed for thousands of years as a holy stone, a bringer of good fortune or a talisman. It is known as the ‘gemstone of the peoples' worn for protection.

Cleaning Turqoise: Spray Razzle Dazzle^® onto the turquoise, and gently rub the surface with your fingers. Rinse with water and buff dry with a cotton cloth or cotton paper towel (we recommend Bounty or Viva). This simply process will remove any build up of hairspray, perfume and makeup, which dull the turquoise. Enjoy!

GARNETS

About Garnets: Garnets come in a variety of colors. The red garnet is most commonly known type of Garnet. Noah, it is said, used a garnet lantern to help him steer his ark through the dark night. Explorers have liked them for the Garnet was popular as a talisman and protective stone, as it was believed to light up the night and protect its bearer from evil and disaster.

Cleaning Garnets: Spray Razzle Dazzle^® liberally on to the surface of the Garnet. Next, use the Razzle Dazzle^® Brush to clean around and underneath the Garnet.
